Around this world, some breathtaking vistas exist. Some of these places are among the best places to hike. Sure, you can see them on television, or in pictures, but nothing compares to the real life experience. The best option for close proximity to the natural beauty is hiking. During a hike, you can literally reach out and touch Mother Nature. Compiled below are my choices for the best places in the world to hike.

Here in the United States, one of the best places to hike is in Appalachia. The Appalachian Trail stretches over 2,175 miles. Fourteen different states are covered by this trail. Myriad different types of scenery engulf the various trails along the way. Be among the four million visitors here who get to see the splendor! This location will have you entranced at the natural beauty, whether you came for that or the exercise. Gorges, rivers, and even waterfalls can be found here. Appalachian Trail has many water related vistas including trails along the Potomac in Virginia, the Penobscot River in Maine, and the Ipswich River in Maryland.

On the West Coast of the United States, one of the best places to hike is the Pacific Crest Trail. It stretches 2,650 miles from Canada to Mexico through three states, California, Oregon, and Washington. Variety and adventure abound! Glaciers, mountains, and deserts are littered throughout the PCT! Before embarking on this journey, it is a good idea to get in shape. This trail combines scenic beauty with increasingly challenging hikes.

For the less physically able, the Florida Trail is an easier option. Along the 1,400 mile trail, you will witness some breathtaking habitats. The flat ground accommodates the very young and the very old, while keeping everyone?s eyes busy with the flora of Florida. For shorter hikes, try the new grab-and-go hike trails designed for easy and relatively short hikes in tropical, untouched areas of Florida.

Across the sea, they have some of the best places to hike. In England, you should visit Hastings Country Park; it has 660 acres of unspoiled terrain. Ancient woodlands and heaths accompany cliffs full of rare prehistoric fossils and other artifacts. You don?t want to miss this locale, if history interests you!

If greenness gets you going, then do not miss Connemara in Ireland. The Emerald Isle comes alive before your eyes as you hike through bogs, wetlands, and heathery moors. Rugged terrain accompanies these striking vistas, so exercising hikers should be pleased just as well as nature seekers.

If you plan on going down under, let me recommend hiking in the bush. Bushwalking through Morton National Park is exhilarating. Rock formations and deep gullies are found throughout Australia?s best place to hike. This locale has both beginner?s trails and challenging tracks throughout its entirety.

Hopefully, I have provided you with enough information to decide which place will be the best place for you to go hiking. Whether it is physical exertion you seek, or just a walk in the woods, one of these hiking locales should fit the bill. Extraordinary sites wait for those who decide on a hiking trip. Enjoy the scenery and adventure in some of the world?s best places to hike!!
